Our Story
Shine Your Light Publishing LLC (SYLP) was started to rescue an author from the challenge of getting her first novel published. She spent too much money trying to publish the "Traditional" way, with a hybrid publishing house that filled her with promises but never delivered, before hearing the telltale phrase "the money goes to the author, NOT FROM the author". After pulling her first novel off the market for thirty days, she launched SYLP to self-publish her book. She also made it her mission to help as many other new authors as she could, get their books out there before they are broke and broken by a system that thrives on chewing you up.
It has been an amazing journey and now, with five books published, SYLP has helped another author launch their book, and another is beginning the process.
SYLP is here to help you do the work to get your book published. There is a cost, you will do all the work, but you won't go broke getting it done.
